The Grammys has announced deadmau5 will perform on the 54th Annual GRAMMY(r) Awards telecast this Sunday, February 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. He will join Foo Fighters, David Guetta, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne for a special performance, marking the first-time ever electronic music will be spotlighted on the show.

deadmau5 is also nominated for three GRAMMY Awards including Best Dance/Electronica Album for his critically acclaimed LP 4×4=12 (Ultra Music), Best Dance Recording for “Raise Your Weapon” with Greta Svabo Bech and Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his stellar remix of the Foo Fighters’ “Rope.”

Mayor Carolyn Goodman has officially proclaimed January 2nd 2012 “deadmau5 Day” in the city of Las Vegas. Joel posted on facebook: “It’s deadmau5 day in Nevada. So I’m going to Nevada.”

Jesse Waits, from XS, stated: “The following for deadmau5 is phenomenal, and I applaud Mayor Goodman for recognizing both his remarkable persona alongside his ability to drive visitor traffic from fans traveling across the globe to experience his live sets.”

On Sunday April 1st, deadmau5 will be performing at Canada’s 2012 JUNO Awards. The show will be broadcast live from Ottawa’s Scotiabank Place and will also see performances from Blue Rodeo, City and Colour and Feist. Last year deadmau5 won “Best Dance Recording” for sofi needs a ladder.

As usual, the last 7 days in the world of deadmau5 have been far from quiet. Indeed, flights leaving 3 huge shows and some baby monsters in South Africa, north bound to the middle east; Doha and Abu Dhabi, the next cities to encounter the mau5 in full effect.
