The Veldt EP, out now at iTunes, includes remixes by Tommy Trash and FreeForm five, both with the vocals of Chris James. The package comes complete with Failbait, which sees an appearance from hop hop legends Cypress Hill.

deadmau5 has returned to Europe for the first time since his 3D performance at London’s Millbank Tower in Nov 2011. Last week saw Joel revisit Oslo, Gothenburg and Stockholm before setting sail for Newcastle upon Tyne’s Evolution Festival. On the musical front, The Veldt EP is now available for pre-order here.

Five weeks ago, whilst streaming on live.deadmau5.com, mau5 wrote an instrumental that would become “The Veldt”. Chris James, a fan, took the track, added his vocal and shared on soundcloud.
Not long after, the horde discovered Chris’ upload and urged Joel to listen… Soon after, the two artists were speaking online and within days, deadmau5 featuring Chris James “The Veldt” was complete. The single is out now at iTunes and can be downloaded here.
